Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Prop Study

A small prop study I worked on to improve my modelling and texturing skills. It was quite a challenge finding all the necessary reference imagery, especially for sections obscured beneath the main body. I relied alot on unboxing + deconstructing videos to get a good idea of the shapes of each piece. This was also my first time using Pureref for a project and it made things so much easier.
I used the highpoly modelling process as an opportunity to practice my hardsurface modelling skills (which still need alot of work). With advice from some fellow artists I was able to improve the topology to a place where I felt comfortable. In the end, it was all baked down to the lowpoly so it didn't matter too much.
Super happy with how the texturing came out for this one, especially the micro scratches and dust buildup.

Main body closeup. Took me a while to figure out what the text on the base of the knife is supposed to say. It seems to vary between products, but in this case its "VICTORINOX SWISS MADE STAINLESS"

Wireframe comparison of the low and high poly versions. I ended up baking most of the small indents / screws instead of including them in the lowpoly geometry.
